The Georgia Walking Horse Exhibitor's Association annouces that they have selected the judges for the Southern Championship Charity Horse Show in Perry, GA held November 20-22, 2008. They are:

2008 GWHEA High Points Changes
Effective for the 2008 show season, the GWHEA High Points will be kept strictly on the website. This means you will not need to turn in you points sheets at the end of the year. We will tabulate awards based on the results displayed on the website. So please check your results carefully.
All results based on NHSC records.

How many of you have wanted a horse tag for your car, truck, or trailer?

You may request this tag at your county tag office during the established application period (01-01-2007 thru 12-31-2008) with the $25 manufacturing fee per tag. Important: If the required number of ‘paid’ requests (1,000) is not received by the deadline (12-31-2008), these tags will not be manufactured & the manufacturing fees will be refunded.

Of the $25 fees collected for the issuance & renewal of these tags, the fees shall be distributed as follows: $1 to the County Tag Agent, $2 to the Dept. of Revenue (design & manufacture costs), $12 to the State Treasury & $10.00 to the Agricultural Commodity Commission for Equines. Initial Cost: $70 plus ad valorem tax. Initial Cost if manufacturing fee prepaid: $45 plus ad valorem tax & original receipt. Renewal Cost: $45 plus ad valorem.
